Jaguar Land Rover is lending 160 of their vehicles to the British Red Cross, NHS and other global emergency response units to help tackle the Coronavirus.
57 vehicles are being given to the NHS, with 27 being the new Land Rover Defenders, which will be used for delivering food and medicine to the elderly people. 65 are being used by the British Red Cross to help efforts in France, Spain, Africa, and Australia.
JLR are also donating protective equipment including safety glasses to several NHS hospitals. The company is hoping to lend more of their vehicles in the upcoming weeks.
The vehicles being lent were originally going to be used for the press fleet, including the new Defender which was also intended for launch events. Both events are now postponed.
