The manufacture launches a mild-hybrid version of the Ghilbli
This is the manufacturers first ever electrified car and gets a mild-hybrid system, which replaces the V6 diesel. It’s powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It gets 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds with 325bhp and 332lb-ft. Flat out it’ll do 158mph and it’s expected to get just over 30mpg. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Maserati have also tweaked the exhaust system to ensure it makes their unique sound, without being artificially enhanced. Two trims are on offer for the Ghibli, the GranSport and the GranLusso, which is the more luxurious trim. Both get a digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen with voice control.
It’s available to order now, priced from £58,220. Production will start in September, with UK models arriving shortly after.
