Six colours to choose from. Decisions, decisions...
Bentley Mulliner has revealed the all-new roofless Bacalar. Only 12 will be made, costing £1.5 million each. Under the bonnet is an uprated bi-turbo W12 engine producing 650bhp and 667lb-ft, with a top speed of over 200mph. The car is sitting on 22-inch wheels with the wheelbase 20mm further apart than a Bentley Continental GT.
The interior is tailored by H. J. Mulliner & Co, which is the oldest coachbuilder in the world. The wood trim for instance is called Riverwood, which is over 5,000 years old, impressive.
The chassis, engine and running gear is based on the Continental GTC, which sells for around £150,000. So why not buy a Continental GTC? My thoughts exactly. Most customers will buy the Bacalar and treat it as a garage queen, let’s be honest here.
It has new carbon fibre front and rear wings, new lights, and wheels. There are six colours: the Brickell, the Clerkenwell, the Fulton, the Greenwich, the Menlo, and the Randwick. The yellow metallic paintwork is called Yellow Flame, with purple highlights buried in the paint. They cost £1.5 million each, all of which have been already allocated to loyal customers.
